This Privacy Policy explains how "My Library App" (the "Application"), developed by Mannu Yadav ("we", "us", "our"), collects, uses, and protects your information. This Application is designed for both Library Owners and Students (the "Users"). By using the Application, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information Collection and Use
A. Personal Data
While using our Application, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you ("Personal Data"). Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:
- Account Information: Full Name, Email address, Phone number, and Profile Picture.
- Library Management Data: For Owners, we store library details, seat configurations, and business rules.
- Student Activity Data: For Students, we store study goals, notes, and profile details.
B. Permissions & Device Data
Crucial for Functionality: The Application requires specific device permissions to operate its core features.
- 📍 Location Data (Geofencing): Used EXCLUSIVELY for the "Smart Attendance" feature.
- Purpose: To verify that a student is physically present within the library premises for check-in.
- Storage: We store check-in/check-out timestamps and coordinates to provide attendance history reports. We do not track your location in the background or outside of library hours.
- 📷 Camera Access: Used EXCLUSIVELY for scanning QR codes for quick check-in/out. No video or images are recorded or stored from the camera feed.
- 📂 Storage/Gallery: Accessed only when you manually choose to upload a profile picture or a payment receipt.
3. How We Use Data
- To provide and maintain the Service: Managing subscriptions, seat availability, and study tracking.
- To notify you about changes: Important announcements (e.g., library closures).
- Gamification: Calculating "Study Hours", "XP", and "Leaderboard Ranks".
- Customer Support: Resolving technical issues.
4. Data Sharing & Disclosure
- Third-Party Selling: We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third-party advertisers.
- Library Owners: If you are a Student, your assigned Library Owner has access to your attendance logs and payment status as part of the library management service.
- Service Providers: We use Supabase (PostgreSQL/Cloud Hosting) to store and secure data. They are bound by data protection agreements.
- Legal Compliance: We may disclose data if required to do so by law.
5. Data Security
The security of your data is important to us. We implement:
- Encryption: All data in transit is encrypted via SSL/TLS.
- Row-Level Security (RLS): Strict database rules ensure Users can only access data they are authorized to see.
6. Retention & Deletion
We retain data only as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this policy. Users can request account deletion by contacting the developer or their Library Owner. Upon deletion, personal data is permanently removed from our active databases.
7. Children's Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
